What you need:
Latest Recovery for your device
Latest update-supersu.zip
How To Install A Custom Recovery And Root Your Bootloader Unlocked Htc One M7
Latest Recovery for your device
Latest update-supersu.zip
Step 1. Place the update-supersu.zip in the internal storage on your phone (I use the downloads folder).
Step 2. Power off your device and enter fastboot by holding volume down and power. Use your volume keys to move and power to select.
Step 3. On your computer open terminal.
Type or drag and drop:
Replacing __________________ with the name of your recovery
Once finished type or drag and drop:
Step 4. Load the fastboot menu again but this time instead of selecting fastboot, Select recovery you should now see your chosen recovery.
Step 5. Select install and find your update-supersu.zip and flash it.
Step 6. Once update-supersu.zip has installed select the reboot option.
Congratulations you are now Rooted.
If after your device loads you do not see your supersu try installing it from the play store then download root checker and check for root status.
